La Fête - Premier Dining Experience in Wilmington, DE with Exquisite French Cuisine & Craft Cocktails

Wonderful experience all around! The pork chop was by far the best we ever had, cut like filet mignon and so juicy. The roast chicken was also cooked to perfection. The Lyonnaise salad was tangy and delicious with the perfect poached egg. We tried 3 different cocktails and each was unique and flavorful with fabulous presentation. The ambience is stunning and reason enough to visit! I will be frequenting for the pork alone because it was that good. Definitely recommend! Dare I say the best food in Wilmington?

What a truly wonderful meal and experience! From the politeness of the hostess to the care and service of the waitresses and the amazing meal crafted by Chef Max and his team, La Fete is an experience that one cannot miss! We had the oysters both ways as well as the cote de boeuf and each bite was divine. Our handcrafted drinks were exceptional and Scott’s history lesson and pairing recommendation will have you trusting every drink recommendation he will ever make. Alenrry and Scott truly crafted a masterpiece which will have you coming back for more! We cannot wait to see what else they have in store.

Le Fête in Wilmington has quickly become one of our favorite spots. We have been twice now, including dinner and brunch, and both experiences were outstanding. The duck appetizer and the duck main course are both ridiculously good. Easily some of the best duck we have had anywhere. The French fries deserve their own mention too, perfectly cooked and incredibly addictive. The cocktails are top notch across the board, with a wide bourbon selection and a great old fashioned. We also had an awesome smoked cocktail that was both fun and delicious. The ambience is amazing, stylish, energetic, and perfect for a night out while still feeling comfortable. The service was great and very professional both visits. Brunch was just as impressive. The live jazz music during brunch creates such a cool, elevated vibe without being overwhelming. The espresso martinis and mimosas were amazing, and the breakfast burger and salmon Benedict were both incredible. Every detail feels elevated without being pretentious. We cannot wait for the outdoor bar to open this spring. Le Fête is an absolute gem in Wilmington and we will definitely be back.

My husband & I went for my birthday dinner and had the most amazing experience! The food was impeccable, service was attentive & welcoming, all the recommendations staff gave were spot on. The food was well worth the price we paid, we enjoyed the atmosphere, and truly couldn’t have wished for anything better. We enjoyed our steak & frites the most, it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Truly a 10/10 restaurant & experience, can’t wait to come back.

Some highlights of my meals: 1. The drinks are all well made, arguably on the more expensive end. 2. The duck we ordered is absolutely delicious, I love all of it. 3. They waived a dessert for birthday party, very nice touch. Some areas that I think can improve for the price range: 1. More prompt services; maybe due to a newer restaurant, but I ran out of water and waiting too long for checks and desert order. 2. Pork belly dish is extremely greasy, it’s hard to eat. Barely touched it. 3. Tables near the entry can be cold… Overall good restaurant! Hopefully it gets better as it opens longer!

We had a top notch meal at La Fete tonight! We started with a variety of cocktails, that all perfectly captured the essence of their names. The Ultima Palabra is a play on the classic Last Word and immediately stole my heart. For starters we had the bread and fois gras mousse, both of which had unique flavors that set them apart from your typical restaraunt. We shared the duck for two, and it was perfectly cooked with a DELICIOUS savory spice blend (that they grind in house!). If you’re looking for a special meal, this is the place. It was full on a Thursday night until closing, so reservations recommended! There is a separate bar menu with smaller plates, if the full menu doesn’t suit your taste but the cocktails do! Patio looks like it will be delightful for warmer weather. I would be remiss if I didn’t highlight the service. From the front desk, to the bar, to the servers and hosts, we were treated like the most important people in the room from the moment we entered to the moment we left. Really something special.

If you’re looking for a fancier date night location or quality cocktails, this is where you want to go. You can try out some fancier dishes or just stick with basic, either way it’s amazing. Save room for dessert. Service was the best I’ve had in a while. They all know the menus inside and out and were the perfect amount of attentive. We will be back.
